The applications of coated steel sheets are generally divided into three main categories: construction, transportation, and appliance casings. Among them, architectural coated steel sheets account for the largest share, followed by the appliance industry, with transportation having the smallest proportion.
Architectural coated steel sheets are usually based on hot-dip galvanized steel or hot-dip aluminum-zinc steel sheets and are mainly processed into corrugated sheets or polyurethane composite sandwich panels. They are primarily used for roofing, walls, and doors in industrial and commercial buildings such as factories, airports, warehouses, and cold storage facilities. Appliance coated steel sheets typically use electro-galvanized and cold-rolled steel sheets as substrates and are commonly used for refrigerator casings, large air conditioner casings, freezers, bread makers, and furniture. For transportation applications, substrates mostly use electro-galvanized and cold-rolled steel sheets, mainly for oil pans, automobile interior parts, and so on.
Generally speaking, architectural coated steel sheets have higher substrate strength and better corrosion resistance compared to appliance steel sheets. This is because architectural coated steel sheets are often part of load-bearing structures, operating in complex outdoor environments, and have a relatively longer service life, requiring higher strength and corrosion resistance.
Youcheng Steel has been focused on the production of high-end coated steel products for more than 10 years, offering customizable services. Coated steel sheets are widely used in major projects such as airports, high-speed railways, steel and power plants, and sports stadiums, receiving high praise from users.
